Trespassing, ID Theft And More In Today's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Other agency assist, trespassing, welfare concern, disorderly conduct, four suspicious activity, seven disturbing the peace, malicious mischief, suspicious person, harassing phone call, scam, suspicious vehicle, two reported DUI, animal complaint, civil matter, fire department assist, alarm.
Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 27 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (post arrest)
Expired Driving License, No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI
2 Possession of a Fake ID and Public Drunk
Disorderly Conduct – Failure to Comply
2 Careless Driving and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two animal complaints, four disturbances, two petit larceny, harassment, nine service calls, three suspicious activity / persons, two transports, two civil matters, ID theft, two traffic complaints, four follow up, unauthorized use of vehicle.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department: 
Workers moving furniture accidentally activated the fire alarm at Delta Gamma House.
Blown transformer set some grass on fire at Powers Hall area.
At Rosemont they were grilling, opened the back door and smoke came inside activating a smoke detector.
Carbon monoxide detector activation possibly due to gas stove issue at 309 South 18th Street.

University Police: Four vehicle stops, suspicious vehicle, accident hit and run, fire, vandalism to vehicle, minor in possession, assist with traffic.
