Grand Larceny, Harassment And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two recovered property, three animal complaint, five alarm, fire department assist, two improper parking, welfare concern, three reported DUI, two suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, 911 hang-up, suspicious activity, petit larceny, malicious mischief, four disturbing the peace, ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 36 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Speeding and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (post arrest)
Public Drunk
Careless Driving, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Fake ID and DUI

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, alarm, animal complaint, two disturbances, grand larceny, three harassment, four service calls, two suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, two transports, two trespassing, follow up, two credit card fraud, two traffic complaints.

Oxford Fire Department:
Motor going bad on a roof a/c unit caused smoke in one of the classrooms at Oxford Intermediate School.
Cutting concrete activated a smoke detector in the basement at the Tri Delta House.
House cleaner accidentally hit the fire alarm at 204 Greenbrier Loop.
University Police: harassment, assist with traffic, vandalism to vehicle, two vehicle stops, possession of drug paraphernalia.
