High Number Of Arrests, Domestic Disturbance And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: two suspicious persons, two civil matters, four improper parking, two other agency assist, four 911 hang-up, four petit larceny, 11 suspicious activity, 11 disturbing the peace, three ambulance assist, six reported DUI, 11 alarm, three domestic disturbances, six noise violations, harassing phone call, two malicious mischief, embezzlement, minor present in bar (non found), two welfare concern, two simple assault, report of lost property, shoplifting.
Oxford police investigated 21 wrecks, issued 90 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Expired Tag, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Warrant Served
2 DUI
Careless Driving, Open Container, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI
2 Careless Driving and DUI
3 Public Drunk
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disorderly Conduct – Failure to Comply and Public Drunk
Improper Equipment (no headlights), Expired Tag and Suspended Driving License
Public Drunk and Possession of a Controlled Substance
Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
2 Simple Assault
Improper Equipment (no headlights), Resisting Arrest and DUI
No Tag and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (post arrest citation)
Improper Equipment (no headlights) and Minor in Possession of Alcohol (post arrest citation)
No Tag and DUI
Open Container, Resisting Arrest and DUI
Domestic Violence – Simple Assault
Improper Equipment (no headlights), Possession of a Fake ID and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (post arrest citation)
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: five accidents, simple assault, nine alarms, three animal complaints, auto burglary, ten disturbances, grand larceny, harassment, juvenile complaint, 23 service calls, seven suspicious activities, six welfare concerns, transports, two civil matters, five traffic complaints, follow up, unauthorized use of vehicle, checkpoint.

University Police: public drunk, fight, simple assault causing bodily injury, eight vehicle stop, assist with traffic, trespassing, willful trespassing, possession of alcohol, running stop sign, intoxicated person, other forms of harassment, accident hit and run, petit larceny, fake ID.
