13 Cheerleaders Stuck In An Elevator, Open Container And More In This Weekend's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Four animal complaints, seven noise complaints, three motorist assist, 15 suspicious activity, civil matter, 15 alarms, stolen vehicle, three careless driving, parking complaint, welfare concern public drunk, three disturbing the peace, ambulance assist, malicious mischief, three information reports, credit card fraud, vagrancy, 911 hang up calls, counterfeit currency, petit larceny.
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 63 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

Careless driving, no headlights, DUI 1st, Possession Schedule 2 and 4 Drugs
Speeding and DUI 1st
Careless Driving, DUI 1st
2 Public Driving
Wrong Way on One Way Street, and DUI 1st
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Seven accidents, nine alarms, four animal complaints, residential burglary (Hwy 6E), 11 disturbances, two domestic violence, petit larceny, harassment, two juvenile complaints, 22 service calls, nine suspicious activities, 10 welfare concerns, transport, trespassing, information, five follow-up, four unauthorized use of vehicle, traffic complaints, three reckless driving, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made five arrests
Domestic violence, simple assault
Child support warrant
false information, disorderly conduct
two contempt warrants
Oxford Fire Department: 
Thursday:
Burned popcorn activated a smoke detector at Oxford Orthopedics.
First-floor smoke detector malfunction at Oxford Park Condos Bldg. 2.
A limb on the power line and stood by for Oxford Electric at 310 North 16th Street.
Power outage cause vent-a-hood to stop working so smoke activated a kitchen detector at Boure.
Smoke detector activation due to water in the detector at The Domain.

Friday:
Cooking activated a smoke detector at 3710 Lyles Drive.
13 cheerleaders stuck in an elevator at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium South Endzone.
Burned popcorn at the South Residential College #419.
Saturday:
Workers bumped fire alarm accidentally at Campus Walk Bldg. H.
Cooking activated smoke detector at the Thompson House #305.
Sunday:
Smoke detector malfunction at Natural Products.
Burned food activated smoke detector at 301 Washington Ave. West.
Smoke detector malfunction at Hooper Hill Work Out room.
University Police: Suspicious vehicle, suspicious person, two vehicle stops, stalking, assist with traffic, simple assault, motor vehicle accident.
