Motor Vehicle Theft, DUI And More In This Weekend's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Two 911 hang up, 16 alarms, four ambulance assist, two animal complaints, three careless driving, five disturbing the peace, false pretense, forgery, improper parking, larceny, four lost property, four malicious mischief, motorist assist, three noise violations, other agency assist, two simple assaults, five suspicious activity, five suspicious persons, five suspicious vehicle, five theft from a motor vehicle, utility call out, seven welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 25 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Careless Driving, No Liability Insurance, DUI 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule 2 Drug, Open Container
Domestic violence— Simple assault
DUI 1st
2 DUI 1st, Careless Driving
DUI 1st, Possession of Marijuana, Ran Stop Sign, No Driver’s License, No Liability Insurance
DUI 2nd, Open Container, Possession of Schedule 2 Dug, Possession of Paraphernalia
Failure to Yield Right Away, DUI 1st, Expired Tag, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Open Container
Minor in Possession of Alcohol
4 Public Drunks
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, 12 alarms, two animal complaints, nine disturbances, grand larceny, petit larceny, three harassments, juvenile complaint, malicious mischief, eight service calls, eight suspicious activity/persons, two welfare concerns, three transports, seven civil matters, traffic complaint, three reckless driving, natural cause of death, follow up.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made four arrests
possession of marijuana in motor vehicle
Circuit contempt and possession of paraphernalia
public drunk
warrant for grand larceny
Oxford Fire Department: 
Assist EMS at 1709 Jefferson Ave.
Alarm panel room smoke detector malfunction at Premier Lanes Entertainment Company.
Fire alarm malfunction at the Goodwill store.

University Police: 28 vehicle stops, moving violation, running stop sign, suspicious person, service call, burglary, accident hit and run, vandalism to vehicle, ambulance needed.
