Ole Miss Takes Over SEC Network Wednesday, July 26

As part of the SEC Network Takeover (#SECNTakeover), Ole Miss will be taking over the national television network for 24 hours beginning Tuesday night, July 25 at 11 p.m. CT and continuing throughout the day Wednesday, July 26. Ole Miss has combined original content from its school produced series “The Season” as well as recent television events from the vault to relive with fans.
The slate is highlighted by prime time rebroadcasts of the 2017 SEC Softball Tournament championship game, in which the Rebels defeated LSU to capture their first ever conference crown, followed by Ole Miss men’s golfer Braden Thornberry winning the 2017 NCAA National Championship.
Other iconic games include: the baseball team’s Super Regional win over UL-Lafayette that punch a ticket to the 2014 College World Series, football’s upset of No. 1 Alabama in 2014 and win in the 1997 Egg Bowl, Marshall Henderson’s memorable buzzer beater versus Vanderbilt (2013), men’s hoops upsetting No. 3 Kentucky in 1997 and Shea Patterson’s Rebel debut in football’s comeback win at No. 8 Texas A&M (2016).
“The Season” takes fans behind the scenes of Ole Miss Athletics throughout the season, featuring the soccer, volleyball, men’s & women’s basketball, baseball, men’s & women’s tennis, rifle, men’s & women’s track & field, men’s & women’s golf and softball teams.
SEC Network’s original series, SEC Inside, also takes a look at the men’s basketball team as well as softball’s SEC Tournament run from a season ago.
