Everyone meet Neiko!
A 1 1/2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepard mix, Neiko was originally brought into the Oxford-Lafeyette Humane Society in May of 2016 by his owner because he was “too much responsibility.” He was adopted shortly after that and then returned on November 25, 2016–6 months later–because he was “too big.”
Neiko gets along great with other dogs close to his size, but he would prefer a family that has no small children or smaller animals. His perfect home would have a large, fenced in backyard with a someone that is prepared to work with him on obedience and how to walk on a leash.
The volunteers at OLHS have been working with him on some obedience and tricks, and he knows how to sit and stay. He is very smart and loves to chase a tennis ball around.
Neiko would LOVE a patient and loving home that will show him what it’s like to be given another chance at a happy life.
