Alarms, Disturbing the Peace and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, nine alarms, careless driving, civil matter, disorderly conduct, two disturbing the peace, improper parking, motorist assist, petit larceny, recovered property, residential burglary—non-forced, four suspicious activity, suspicious vehicle, welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 11 accidents, 23 tickets and made the following arrest:

DUI 1st, careless driving, speeding, no insurance
DUI 1st, speeding, MIP, possession of paraphernalia
MIP, Possession of Fake ID
Possession of Fake ID
2 Possession of paraphernalia
Possession of stolen property
Public Drunk
Public Drunk, disturbing the peace
3 shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, alarm, two animal complaints, two disturbances, grand larceny, two harassment, malicious mischief, four service calls, two suspicious activities, scam, four transports, follow-up, traffic complaints, reckless driving, court detail.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
09:15 – 102 Country Club Road – unauthorized burning of leaves
15:17 – Whirlpool Trails – small fire near power lines – fire was out upon arrival of FD – FD wet the area down to make sure it didn’t catch back up
16:09 – Hwy. 6 East between Hwy. 7 and South Lamar exits – wreck with no injuries
16:32 – Hwy. 6 East close to South Lamar exit – wreck with injuries – placed C-collar on victim and stood by until ambulance arrived
18:34 – 715 Molly Barr Road – subject passed out in parking lot – FD administered oxygen and monitored pulse until ambulance arrived
01:41 – Institute of Child Nutrition – smoke detector malfunction
University Police: Suspicious person, vehicle stop, assist with traffic, ambulance needed, intoxicated person, suspicious vehicle.
