Alarms, Motorist Careless Driving, and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls:  911 hangup, 23 alarms, six animal complaints, three burglary, eight careless driving, civil matter, nine disturbing the peace, five domestic disturbance, embezzlement, identity theft, six k9 search, six larceny, three lost property, four malicious mischief, three motor assist, motor vehicle theft, property damage, six other agency assist, five parking, two public drunk, seven suspicious activity, five suspicious person, trespass, 12 welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated  11 accident, 117 tickets and made the following arrest:

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accidents, 11 alarms, six animal complaints, 18 disturbances, domestic violence, petit larceny, two harassment, two malicious mischief, 16 service calls, 15 suspicious activity/person, four welfare concerns, five transports, four trespassing, four follow up, two traffic complaints, five reckless driving, littering / dumping, civil matter, grass fire.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made eight arrests

11/22 – 13:22 – 805 College Hill Road – workers welding activated a smoke detector
11/22 – 15:05 – Oxford Grill House – waterflow alarm malfunction
11/22 – 21:00 – #2 Hilltop Drive – public assist
11/22 – 21:02 – 2202 Haley Street – possible heart attack – EMS already on scene
11/22 – 22:40 – AOPi House – fire panel alarm malfunction
11/23 – 08:38 – Thacker Loop / Hwy. 6 west – wreck – no injuries
11/23 – 11:22 – 210 Bramlett Blvd. – cooking activated the smoke detector 
11/23 – 22:17 – New Baptist Hospital – workers cleaning activated a smoke detector
11/24 – 11:09 – Family Medicine Group of Oxford – no audible alarm upon arrival – workers advised no alarm had been activated
11/24 – 12:25 – Captain D’s – steam cleaning activated a smoke detector
11/24 – 14:36 – 109 Magnolia Cove – assisted resident changing smoke detector battery
11/26 – 07:45 – 1311 Access Road – dryer fire – FD extinguished the fire
