Civil Matters, Motor Vehicle Theft, and More in Today's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Two alarms, careless driving, three civil matters, disturbance, disturbing the peace, fire department assist, K9 search, motor vehicle theft, motorist assist, noise violation, other agency assist petit larceny, five suspicious activity, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated  four accident, 20 tickets and made the following arrest:
DUI 1st, speeding
Embezzlement
Motor vehicle theft
Public Drunk
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, four alarms, animal complaint, residential burglary, three disturbances, three harassment, juvenile complaint, five service calls, welfare concerns, scam, three transports, follow up, traffic complaint, reckless driving, civil matters, two recovered stolen vehicle.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests
carrying a concealed weapon by a felon, possession of a firearm by a felon
Oxford Fire Department:
07:49 – Student Union – workers accidentally set the fire alarm system off
08:56 – The Ice House – fire alarm pull station activation – no cause found
09:14 – Tri Delta House – alarm company working on the sprinkler system
11:38 – The Retreat Clubhouse – call canceled
