Ole Miss Falls to No. 18 Tennessee, 91-64
The road struggles continue for the Ole Miss Rebels as they fell to the No. 18 Tennessee Volunteers 91-64 at Rocky Top.
Ole Miss (11-12, 4- 6 SEC) missed their first 10 of 11 shots in the five plus opening minutes. The defense kept them in the game during the half by pulling down rebounds.
The Rebels were led in scoring by Bruce Stevens with 16 points while Terrence Davis added 13 points and 9 rebounds of his own.
Tennessee took a 35-25 lead into the dressing rooms at the break.
As the second half started, Ole Miss went on a 7-0 run cutting the deficit down to 35-32 before the Vols closed the door.
Tennessee was lead in scoring by Admrial Schofield with a double-double 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Rebels went 11 for 25 from beyond the arc at 44 percent. Tennessee was hard to stop from the field shooting 53 percent. Ole Miss was hitting over 70 percent from the charity stripe.
On Tuesday, Ole Miss will play host to the Missouri Tigers at 8 p.m.
