John Sykes Hartin, Jr., 68, passed away on March 1, in Greenville, Mississippi, his residence since 2015.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Owen officiating. A private family burial will follow in Church Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
John was born to J. S. Hartin, Sr., and Rita Miller Hartin and lived in Oxford much of his life. John had a big heart and connected with many as he went through his life, encountering challenges and joys. He is survived by his brother, Paul F. Hartin of Bloomington, Indiana, and his sister, Martha H. Molpus of Burlington, Vermont.
