No. 3 Ole Miss takes the diamond of Swayze this afternoon for the final home midweek game of the season. First pitch against the Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions is set for 4 p.m.

Ole Miss (34-11) is coming off its fifth SEC series win of the season, taking two of three in thrilling fashion from LSU.
Sophomore left fielder Thomas Dillard hit his 10th home run of the season Saturday to secure a 9-8 victory over the Tigers. He is one of three players in the SEC with more than 45 RBIs and runs scored.
Ryan Olenek is on a 20-game hitting streak, the longest active streak in the SEC. He’s hitting .474 in league play, the conference’s best mark. He is statistically the toughest player to strike out in the league with just 11 K on the season.
On the season, Ole Miss has scored 96 more runs off of 81 more hits than last season. The Rebel offense has added 23 more doubles, 10 more home runs and 94 more RBIs. Ole Miss has also struck out 61 fewer times than in last season’s 45 games.
Arkansas Pine Bluff rolls into Oxford with a 18-19 overall record out of the SWAC. The Golden Lions are coming off of a series loss to Texas Southern University.
UAPB freshman infielder Jarficur Parker has had the best bat this season as he’s hitting .374 over the span of 27 games. The Golden Lions have found power off the bats of Nick Kreutzer, JP Soriano, Sergio Esparza and Jacob Columbo. Kreutzer leads the club with 13 doubles, Soriano holds the team lead with five homers, Esparza has paced UAPB with 34 RBIs, while Columbo boasts 10 doubles on the year.
Arkansas Pine Bluff has hit at .257 as a team while allowing opposing hitters a .296 batting average.
The probable pitching matchup for today’s game will showcase the arms of RHP Tyrus Lopez for the Golden Lions. Lopez comes into the game with a 7-2 record and a 5.06 ERA in 69.1 innings of work. The Rebels will send LHP Jordan Fowler to the hill. Fowler is 4-0 on the season with a 4.07 ERA in 24.1 innings pitched.
Ole Miss currently has a 7-0 record against UAPB in Mike Bianco’s era. Last season, the Rebels walked away with a 14-6 win at Swayze.
