The Oxford Park Commission’s new activity center started to take shape earlier this week when construction workers began to place beams into its foundation.

It is located directly in front of the existing activity center now on the corner of Molly Bar Road and Price St.
HottyToddy.com sat down with John Davis community relations director for the OPC about the building.
“Work on the new center is going very well,” Davis said. “There is always something going up on site it appears and we have tried to show that progress through social media. We are very excited about this project and it finishing because of what it will mean to the citizens and community overall.”
The activity center will have new tennis courts, a fitness room, meeting rooms, a fitness counter, a walking track, two full-size basketball courts and four junior courts.
Renderings of the new complex show what the building should look like after completion.
Work began back in December, on the $11.5 million dollar project.
