HottyToddy.com is pleased to welcome Alyssa Schnugg to its editorial team.
Schnugg has been a newspaper journalist for 20 years, working in Florida for Suncoast Media Group for 10 years as a reporter and editor, before moving to Oxford in 2007. She worked at a local news organization for the last 11 years as a staff writer, city editor and senior writer, before accepting the position with HottyToddy.com last week.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Schnugg lived in Florida for 18 years before moving herself and her three now-adult children to Oxford. Before working in the journalism field, Schnugg was a paralegal, working with the Sarasota County Public Defender’s Office and in a private firm that focused on family law.
She’s won several awards throughout the years from the Florida Press Association, Mississippi Press Association and the Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press.
“For the last decade, I’ve worked hard to establish great working relationships with city, county, school and law enforcement officials and I look forward to using those relationships to provide HottyToddy.com readers with fair, accurate, interesting and informative news stories,” Schnugg said.
When not working, she spends most of her time doting on her five grandchildren, who all live in Oxford.
You can reach her with story tips, ideas and questions at alyssa.schnugg@hottytoddy.com.
