Walmart’s free online grocery pickup will be available for customers at the Oxford Walmart location beginning June 21.
The service will allow customers to order their groceries online, schedule a pickup time and have a Walmart associate deliver the order to customers’ vehicles.
Online Grocery Assistant Manager Lavina Woodfin said she’s excited about the pickup system because it offers Walmart customers another option for grocery shopping while saving time.
“I’m excited because I’ve actually used the service before,” she said. “It gives me the opportunity to go online, pick out my groceries and then I can do anything else the day [of] I wanted to do, because I knew I had a time slot to pick up my groceries.”
Pickup times begin at 8 a.m. and run on hourly intervals until 8 p.m. Customers will receive a message notifying their groceries are in the process of being ready 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time slot.
Woodfin said customers can order groceries to be picked up the same day or a few days later.
New customers can receive $10 off their first purchase using the code “WOWFRESH.”
