The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Harmontown man Wednesday for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old child.
According to reports, the victim reported the assault to a family member who filed charges Monday against John Robert Westmoreland, 46. A warrant was issued for his arrest Tuesday.
Westmoreland was charged with touching a child for lustful purposes and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he remained Thursday morning on no bond, pending possible additional charges.
