Ole Miss junior A.J. Brown was selected as the No. 1 wide receiver in the country by Athlon Sports on Tuesday.

Brown has electrified fans in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium over the last two seasons in a Rebel uniform as a key quarterback target.
The Starkville native caught 75 passes for 1,252 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2017. He recorded six games with 100 or more receiving yards, including 233 against South Alabama and 167 versus Mississippi State.
In the 2018 Grove Bowl, Brown led all receivers with 133 yards and a TD on five catches.
The Rebels kick off the 2018 season on September 1 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Houston.
