The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department has charged a Harmontown man with five additional child molestation charges.

After John Robert Westmoreland, 46, of Harmontown was arrested Wednesday for touching a 10-year-old child for lustful purposes, an additional five possible victims were interviewed, according to Chief Investigator Alan Wilburn.
All six alleged victims are about 10 to 12 years old.
Westmoreland’s wife runs a babysitting service in Harmontown and the reported child victims attended the daycare, officials said.
A Lafayette County justice court judge set his bond this morning at $750,000.
Wilburn said the case is still under investigation and more charges could be pending.
If anyone had information or believes their child might have been a possible victim, contact the sheriff’s department at 662-234-6421.
