The Mississippi State Veterans Home of Oxford has confirmed that two employees have been arrested in regard to the death of a 92-year-old man in April 2017.

Few details were available this morning; however, officials from the Oxford Police Department are expected to release more information today.
“The care of our veterans at all of our nursing homes is our utmost priority,” said Amanda May, administrator of the Mississippi State Veterans Home of Oxford. “We have been cooperating with the law enforcement officials during the investigation, but due to the nature (of the case) we cannot comment on this ongoing investigation.”
According to reports, Durley Bratton, 92, hadn’t lived at the Oxford home for long when he was transported one night in April 2017 to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi with a broken hip and possible other fractures. He was then transferred to The Med in Memphis where he died a few days later.
