Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following reports:

Deputies made one arrest for false pretense and fraud
University Police Department responded to one medical call and conducted four traffic stops.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
2:27 p.m. to the Archive for a smoke detector malfunction
6:03 p.m. to CR 405 and Highway 6 East for a wreck with injuries
6:30 p.m. to 101 N. Thacker Loop for a wreck with injury
7:47 p.m. to 1408 S. Lamar Blvd. For a general smoke detector malfunction
8:24 p.m. to Nicholas Cove for a report of fire but was a controlled burn
9:23 p.m. to Faser Hall for a water flow alarm
