Ole Miss sophomore cornerback D.D. Bowie has officially left the football team, according to head coach Matt Luke in a statement released by the university.

“D.D. Bowie is leaving the team for personal reasons,” Luke said. “We have supported D.D. every step of the way and wish him the best as he moves forward.”
Coming into the season, Bowie was listed second at cornerback on the preseason depth chart for the Rebels.
The Morton, Mississippi native saw action in eight games as a freshman for the Rebels. Bowie recorded five solo tackles and assisted on one. Prior to arriving to Oxford, he was a consensus four-star prospect in 2017 U.S. Army All-American.
