Oxford Police Department investigated six wrecks, issued 33 tickets and investigated the following reports:

2 animal complaints
1 careless driving complaint
1 credit card fraud
1 cyberstalking
4 domestic disturbances
1 false pretense
1 fire department assist
1 lost property
1 malicious mischief
2 petty thefts
1 shoplifting
3 suspicious activities
2 trespassing complaints
1 utility call
2 welfare checks
Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and expired tag
1 possession of marijuana
1 public drunk
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks, made no arrests and the following reports:
1 simple assault
1 alarm
2 disturbances
1 harassment
1 malicious mischief
1 suspicious activity
2 vandalism
2 welfare concerns
3 transports
1 follow up
1 reckless driving
2 court detail
1 civil matter
2 assistance calls
1 abandoned vehicle
24 papers served
Deputies made the following arrests:
1 DUI, no driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 out-of-county warrant
1 robbery warrant
University Police Department investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle and harassing emails and conducted three traffic stops.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
At 7:39 a.m. to Highway 30 East and Oxford Elementary for a wreck
At 10:20 a.m. to Dollar Tree parking lot for a car smoking
At 2:52 p.m. to Phi Delta Theta house after someone pressure washing activated a smoke detector
At 2:08 this morning to the ATO house for a smoke detector malfunction
