Ole Miss offensive tackle Greg Little was tabbed as one of 82 people to the initial watch list for the 2018 Outland Trophy that is presented by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, the Football Writers Association of America announced on Tuesday.
The Outland Trophy, named after John H. Outland, is awarded to the best interior lineman in college football.
The junior Allen, Texas, native, has appeared in every game at left tackle since arriving in Oxford two years ago. Little earned preseason All-America first team honors from the Sporting News and second-team accolades from Lindys, Athlon and Phil Steele.
Last season, Little helped protect the Rebels quarterback that led the conference and ranked 11th nationally in passing as a unit (328.4 jpg).
Ole Miss opens the 2018 season versus Texas Tech in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff, in Houston, on Sept. 1. The game is slated for 11 a.m. and will be on ESPN.
