Oxford Police Department investigated seven wrecks, issued 21 tickets and investigated the following reports:

1 discharging fireworks inside city limits
2 domestic disturbances
1 elderly assist
3 K9 searches
1 petty theft
1 scam
6 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
4 vehicle searches
Officers made one arrest for public drunk.
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
3 alarms
2 disturbances
1 harassment
1 service call
2 suspicious activities
1 welfare concern
1 scam
2 information
1 follow-up
3 road obstructions
1 littering/dumping
4 civil matters
1 unauthorized use of a vehicle
1 disturbing the peace
19 papers served
Deputies made arrests on the following charges:
1 writ to take into custody
1 disorderly conduct and fleeing
University Police Department conducted 10 traffic stops where they issued four citations for running a stop sign and four for speeding.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
At 9:32 a.m. to G&M Pharmacy after workers sanding sheetrock activated a smoke detector
At 5:21 this morning to Goodwill for a duct detector malfunction
