Two Sardis Residents Charged with Auto Burglary

On July 20, officers with the Oxford Police Department took a report about a vehicle burglary that occurred in the Walmart parking lot.

Investigators determined the suspects were Brea-Anna Hill, 23, of Sardis and Christopher Smith, 38, also of Sardis, who allegedly stole items from a vehicle.

Hill was arrested on a warrant for auto burglary on Aug. 22 and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was booked on a $5,000 bond.

Smith, who was also linked to vehicle burglaries at Walmart and Advanced Auto Parts between July 20 through Aug. 17, was arrested on a warrant on Aug. 23. He was charged with three counts of auto burglary and taken to the detention center where he was booked on a $20,000 bond.
