The Ole Miss football team learned on Tuesday they would be without junior running back Eric Swinney for the first three weeks of the season.
Swinney is battling a case of mononucleosis, according to a report.
As a sophomore, Swinney rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns after filling in for Jordan Wilkins. Swinney came into the matchup against Texas Tech as the clear No. 2 on the depth chart behind his teammate, junior Scottie Phillips, who will start at tailback for the Rebels.
