Labor Day is a time to rest, relax and appreciate those who live and work in our community. With much of that time spent outside in front of grills and in pools, the weather will be a key factor.

Weather for the three day weekend remains sunny with a slight chance of cloudy weather, according to the Weather Channel.

Over the weekend highs are projected to be in the upper 80s with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Weather for Labor Day, Sept. 3, will be partly cloudy with a high of 90 degrees. Light winds will blow through the region at 10 mph and a slight chance of rain is expected.

The Weather Channel indicates the evening will be cooler, with a high of 70 degrees.
