Oxford Police Department issued 30 tickets, investigated six wrecks and the following reports:

1 defrauding an innkeeper
12 disturbing the peace complaints
7 domestic violence reports
3 fire department assists
2 improper parking complaints
4 K9 searches
6 larcenies
3 lost properties
5 malicious mischief complaints
3 motorist complaints
1 other agency assist
1 simple assault
7 suspicious activities
6 suspicious people
4 vehicle searches
8 welfare checks

OPD made the following arrests:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 DUI, failure to yield, minor in possession of alcohol, fake ID and possession of paraphernalia
1 DUI, no headlight and fake ID
1 DUI and speeding
1 DUI, speeding and careless driving and no insurance
1 DUI, speeding and careless and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 fake ID
1 littering
6 minors in possession of alcohol
2 minors in possession of alcohol and fake Ids
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug
1 possession of marijuana with intent to sell
3 possessions of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding
5 public drunks
1 public drunk and resisting arrest
4 warrants served

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

11 alarms
3 animal complaints
1 residential burglary (Debbie Lane)
8 disturbances
1 grand larceny
1 petty theft
11 service calls
8 suspicious activities
9 welfare concerns
1 scam
4 transports
3 trespassing
7 information
4 follow-ups
1 traffic complaint
3 reckless drivings
2 road obstructions
1 civil matter
8 assistance calls
2 disturbing peace complaints
1 natural cause death
1 trespass less than larceny
22 papers served

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 DUI
1 contempt of court, bench warrant
1 violation of protective order, bench warrant

University Police Department investigated four wrecks and investigated the following reports:
2 disturbances
2 suspicious vehicles
1 vehicle burglary
1 simple domestic assault
1 vehicle burglary
2 for possession of alcohol by a person under 21
5 suspicious persons
2 intoxicated person
1 larceny
1 sexual battery

UPD officers made the following arrests:
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and running a stop sign
1 running a stop sign

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
8/31 – 08:12 – 11 Jackson Ave. – bad smoke detector in safe room
8/31 – 22:11 – Northgate B206 – hallway smoke detector malfunction
9/01 – 04:52 – St. Anthony Hall – laundry room smoke detector hanging by the wires
9/01 – 07:52 – Robert Khayat Law School – air handling unit heat detector malfunction
9/01 – 11:47 – Library – chest pains
9/01 – 13:41 – 1416 Van Buren No. 4 – no audible alarm present
9/01 – 15:14 – Highway 6 – small grass fire
9/01 – 17:08 – East Jackson Ave. – tree limb broke and is on the power line
9/01 – 19:09 – Phi Mu house room 14 – dirty detector
9/02 – 03:20 – Uncommon 4th floor – fire extinguisher discharged – prank
9/02 – 07:14 – BMH  sterile processing room – smoke detector malfunction
9/02 – 11:29 – Gus’s – call canceled
9/02 – 14:16 -1416  Van Buren No. 4 – no audible alarm again
9/03 – 11:26 – 603 Tyler Ave. – workers activated the laundry room smoke detector
9/03 – 12:11 – 1012 Molly Barr – chest pains
9/03 – 12:30 – ATO house room 11 – fan blowing duct into smoke detector
9/03 – 18:37 – Thompson House No. 304 – cooking activated the smoke detector
9/03 – 18:47 – 1755 No. 1 East Jackson – call canceled
9/03 – 20:36 – Chili’s – subject fell exiting the restaurant
