The Ole Miss Rebel soccer team travels to Tuscaloosa this evening to open up conference play against Alabama. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
Ole Miss (6-2) is coming off a 1-1 neutral-site trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Rebels fell behind early to come up short against UConn, 3-4. Ole Miss bounced back Sunday morning with a dramatic 2-1 win over FAU, with captain Gabby Little scoring the game-winner in the 89th-minute.
Head Coach Matt Mott’s club continues to be one of the SEC’s most dangerous offensive forces. Ole Miss leads the league in goals with 26 and ranks second in goals per game (3.25) and points (71).
After going winless through the first three contests of the season, Alabama has rattled off five wins in a row, racking up 22 goals.
This will be the 25th all-time meeting between the two teams. The Rebels have claimed two-thirds of the first 24 matchups, 16-8. Last season, the Crimson Tide defeated Ole Miss on senior night on an overtime penalty kick goal by Hailey Brohaugh, 1-0.
