The LOU community has a new place to fix its sweet tooth at Oxford’s newest establishment, Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery, located in the Oxford Galleria II next to Chicken Salad Chick.
The store, owned by Oxford residents Stuart and Elizabeth Williams, opened Thursday with much anticipation from the community.
With 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry, doing what he does best in the kitchen was nothing new for Stuart.
Williams said he and his family frequented a Smallcakes in Florida where they vacationed for years, which ultimately led him and his wife to open their very own in the Oxford community.
“I’ve been looking for a way to start my own business,” he said. “I got back in the food industry and decided this was a great fit for us.”
Smallcakes offers a variety of cupcakes for its patrons, which includes 12 signature flavors like Chocoholic, “Famous” Red Velvet and Lemon Drop. It also offers several tasty ice-creams—Blue Munster cookie, Birthday Cake and Salted Caramel Crunch—to name a few.
Whether you’re craving chocolate, vanilla or anything in between, Smallcakes has a plethora of treats for the entire family.
