The Ole Miss Rebels turn their attention to SEC foe Arkansas this weekend on the road in Little Rock. Head Coach Matt Luke discussed the true impact of the matchup at his weekly press conference Oct. 8.

Ole Miss (4-2, 0-2) is coming off a 70-21 victory over Louisiana-Monroe for homecoming. The Rebels came away fairly healthy with only CJ Miller and Miles Hartfield sustaining minor ankle injuries.

“They will both try and practice this week,” Luke said.

Defensive end Victor Evans is one player coach Luke hopes to get back on the field, he said. Evans didn’t see any playing time against ULM because of a lingering injury.

Arkansas (1-5, 0-3) has gotten off to a rocky start this season. However, the Razorbacks managed to put 31 points on the board last week against No. 1 Alabama.

“First thing that jumped out to me was (the Razorback) defensive line,” Luke said.

(Arkansas) is definitely a good and capable football team that we will have to play well to win.”

Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.
