A local teen was arrested recently on a charge of sexual battery.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, detectives investigated a reported sexual battery that allegedly occurred Sunday at a home on the 800 block of Highway 30.
After the investigation, Christopher B. Miller, 18, was arrested Monday and charged with sexual battery and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $25,000 bond.
The alleged victim was 18 years old, according to investigators.
According to the sheriff’s department, Miller remained in jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
