The following reports were made Oct. 12-14, 2018, by city, university and county law enforcement agencies.

Oxford Police Department issued 64 tickets, investigated 20 wrecks and the following reports:
2 911 hang-ups
12 alarms
1 animal complaint
2 careless driving complaints
6 civil matters
2 credit card frauds
3 disturbing the peaces
2 improper parking complaints
1 larceny
2 lost properties
4 motorist assists
4 noise violations
9 other agency assists
1 phone harassment
1 simple assault
1 stalking
8 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
4 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 careless driving and open container
1 domestic violence and simple assault
2 DUI
2 DUI and careless driving
2 DUI and speeding
1 DUI, speeding and no library insurance
1 DUI and no liability insurance
1 DUI, speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 DUI-second, careless driving and no liability insurance
1 failing to yield and driving on a suspended license
1 larceny
4 minors in possession of alcohol
1 minor in possession of fake ID
1 possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule 1 drug and possession of a schedule 2 drug
1 possession of drug paraphrenia, no tags, driving on a suspended driver’s license
4 public drunks
1 public drunk and failure to comply
1 public drunk, fake ID and falsifying information
1 public drunk and resisting arrest
1 public drunk and trespassing

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
1 simple assault
3 alarms
1 animal complaint
1 residential burglary (Abbeville)
5 disturbances
1 domestic violence
1 harassment
1 juvenile complaint
1 malicious mischief
7 service calls
1 sexual assault
11 suspicious activities
5 welfare concern
15 transports
1 trespassing
4 information
4 follow up
4 traffic complaint
1 littering/dumping
1 jail assist
3 other agencies assist

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 bench warrant
1 writ to take custody

University Police Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:
1 intoxicated person
1 simple assault

UPD officers investigated five wrecks and the following reports:
1 larceny
4 suspicious vehicles
2 suspicious people
1 ambulance’
1 malicious mischief
1 disturbance
1 petty theft

UPD made the following arrests:
1 public drunk and trespassing
1 possession of drug paraphernalia

Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Tuesday,
10/12 – 1:06 p.m. – Delta Psi Epsilon House – smoke detector malfunction
10/13 – 8:18 a.m. – Taco Bell – smell of gas – there was a gas leak in the restaurant – FD cut gas off
10/13 – 9:01 a.m. – BMH – 2nd floor sterile room – smoke detector malfunction
10/13 – 2:44 p.m. – St. Peters Episcopal Church – smell of gas – four stove eyes on and the pilot light was out – cut gas off to stove
10/13 – 3:29 p.m. – 210 S. 17th St. – smell of gas – gas line going to a heater was leaking
10/13 – 7:02 p.m.- 434 N. 14th St. No. Q – alarm system keyboard malfunction
10/14 – 1:53 a.m. – Campus Creek Bldg. 5 – alarm system malfunction
10/14 – 6:44 p.m. – 167 Garden Terrace – smoke detector was chirping
10/14 – 11:55 a.m.- 407 Country Club – resident was cooking an activated a smoke detector
10/14 – 12:45 p.m. – State Veterans Home – a resident pulled a fire alarm
10/14 – 5:54 p.m. – Skymart – dumpster fire
