UPD Still Searching for Sexual Battery Suspect

The University of Mississippi Police Department is investigating a reported sexual battery Saturday that occurred somewhere on University Avenue within the campus boundaries.

According to UPD, the victim reported the sexual assault occurred at 2 p.m. on Saturday somewhere on University Avenue, however, investigators are not releasing a more specific location at this time.

The suspect is described as a young, white male, with brown hair. He was wearing a red polo shirt, possibly made of Dri-Fit material.

The suspect was not known to the victim.

Investigators said Monday the case is ongoing and few details can be released.
