The Oxford Police Department and the Lafayette County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of Lafayette County man who was struck and dragged by a truck Wednesday night.
According to Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy, Andrew Lee Brown, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown was hit at about 6:30 p.m. on Ricky Britt Drive by a truck; however, the type and size of the vehicle is unknown at this time.
Brown’s body was sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Jackson for an autopsy.
No other information was made available at the time of this report.
