Ole Miss Defeats San Diego in the Pavilion

The Ole Miss Rebels basketball team picked up a 93-86 victory over the San Diego Toreros Wednesday night inside the Pavilion.

Ole Miss (4-2) shot 61 percent from the floor as guard Breein Tyree led the charge with 22 points. His teammate senior Terence Davis scored 20 points with a career-high nine assists.

“(Tyree’s) leadership has gotten so much better the last seven or eight months,” Ole Miss head coach Kermit Davis said.

The Rebels and Toreros both went on double-digit runs in the first half of action. Ole Miss took an early 20-12 advantage in the contest as Tyree scored seven of the 15 points.

Ole Miss took a 39-37 lead going into the locker room.

Three other Rebels scored double figures in the game: Blake Hinson and KJ Buffen, both with 15 points, and Devontae Shuler with 13 points.

San Diego was led in the game by guard Isaiah Wright with 22 points and six assists.

Ole Miss returns to action Saturday afternoon as they host ULM at 1 p.m. on the SEC Network +.
