Mary Laine was born in Oxford. She was always so full of energy and love — she had the most kind and comforting nature. Mary Laine loved school, participating in Episcopal Kids Community and Pinelake Kids. She also loved tumbling and documenting her favorite memories. Mary Laine had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cat, Lilly, and her dog, Ohzee. She was able to touch the lives of everyone she came in contact with.

She attended Della Davidson and was in the third grade.

Mary Laine is survived by her mother, Stacey Cash, of Oxford; her father, Wade Thames, of Madison; two grandmothers, Nita Thames, of Madison, and Marcell Cash, of Memphis; one grandfather, Robert Cash, of Memphis; three aunts, Aunt Reagan and Uncle John “Coonie” Spreafico, of Oxford, Brandon Thames, of Atlanta, and Tonya Schoemehl, of St. Louis, Missouri; one uncle, Robert Michael Cash, of Memphis; and four cousins, Olivia Bransford and Lilah Bransford, both of Atlanta, and Cash Schoemehl and Eden Schoemehl, both of St. Louis.

Mary Laine was preceded in death by one grandfather, John Thames.
