The North Central Mississippi REALTORS has announced the float winners from the Oxford Christmas Parade Monday night.
This year’s winners for:
Best Floats:
First Place: Crossroads Animal Hosptial’s “Mardi Paws”
Second Place: Baptist Rehab’s “Elf on a Self”
Third Place: Camp Lake Stevens
Other awards:
Best Unique Vehicle: “Penal Farm” Truck from OLE Durant Supper Club
Best Live Performance: Oxford All-Star Band
The parade lasted for more than an hour. It was the first year for North Central Mississippi REALTORS to sponsor the parade, that took a different route this year.
Crowds started gathering on the Square as early as 5:30 p.m. waiting on the parade to start from Gertrude Ford Center at 6:30 p.m. The parade went around the Square and up North Lamar to Price Street where it ended at the Oxford Activity Center.
