Ole Miss is in the market for a new offensive coordinator after reports indicate Phil Longo accepted the OC position at the University of North Carolina on Tuesday.

Longo will join the UNC staff with the new Tar Heels head coach Mack Brown. FOX senior football columnist Bruce Feldman reported that Longo will join Brown’s air-raid attack style of offense.

A further indication that Longo is out at Ole Miss is his coaches profile on the Ole Miss Athletics website is under construction. Both Rebels head coach Matt Luke and defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre’s profiles were fully functioning.

Over the past two seasons the Rebels offense averaged 32.8 points per game in 2017 and 33.9 points per game in 2018.

Brown’s staff will also have Army’s defensive coordinator Jay Bateman who will be in the same position in Chapel Hill.
