Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated three wrecks and the following reports:

University Police Department officers responded to one wreck and made one arrest for improper equipment, driving while license suspended and no tag.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:54 a.m. – Volta – smell of electrical wires burning – light ballast going bad
2:07 p.m. – AOPi house – a/c unit smoking activated a smoke detector
12:15 a.m. (Dec. 12) – Taco Bell – call of an unresponsive male – he was fine and gone before FD or EMS arrived
