Oxford & Fire Calls for Dec. 18, 2018

The following reports were made Dec. 17, 2018, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.

Oxford Police Department issued 25 tickets, investigated five wrecks and the following reports:
4 alarms
1 ambulance assist
1 animal complaint
1 careless driving complaint
1 civil matter
1 credit card fraud
1 disturbing the peace complaint
1 domestic disturbance
1 K9 search
2 larcenies
1 lost property
1 malicious mischief
1 property damage
1 recovered property
2 simple assaults
2 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
2 suspicious vehicles
2 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrests:
2 for domestic violence with simple assault
1 DUI, careless driving, expired tag and no insurance
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug
1 suspended driver’s license and possession of a weapon by a felon
1 warrant served, suspicious driver’s license and window tint violation

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests, investigated three wrecks and the following reports:
2 alarms
1 animal complaint
1 residential burglary (CR101)
2 disturbances
2 suspicious activities
2 transports
2 follow-up reports
1 unauthorized use of a vehicle
4 civil matter

University Police Department conducted four traffic stops.

 

 

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
3:41 p.m. – 45 CR 398 – wreck with entrapment – the patient was out of the vehicle before FD arrived
5:56 a.m. (Dec. 18) – 200 Oxford Way – call canceled
