The Ole Miss Rebels men’s basketball team closes out the 2018 calendar year with an 87-57 victory over the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles on Saturday.

Ole Miss (10-2) as a team came out on fire scoring on all cylinders with five players that reached double figures in points. Senior Terence Davis led the way for the red and blue with 20 points in the game.

Junior Breein Tyree was right on Davis’s heels with 14 of his own. Blake Hinson, Bruce Stevens and Devontae Shuler each put up 11 points of their own.

The Rebels are on a seven-game winning streak and undefeated inside the Pavilion on the season under coach Kermit Davis.

Ole Miss shot 51.7 percent from the field. The Rebels knocked down a season high 12 3-pointers in the win over the Eagles.

Coach Davis’s squad took a 44-26 advantage into the locker room at the half and came back and did not look back in the second half.

Florida Gulf Coast (5-10) was led on the court by RaySean Scott Jr. with 18 points while his teammate Dinero Mercurius added 12 off the bench.

Ole Miss took advantage of the Eagles miscues in the game as they scored 19 points off of turnovers to the FGC’s 4 points.

Ole Miss returns to action on January 5, as they step into conference play at Vanderbilt under the lights of Music City. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.
