The Oxford Police Department arrested a Water Valley man for allegedly stealing mail at The Flatts at South Campus apartments.
According to security video footage taken at The Flatts, on Dec. 29, Devin Rogers, 24, reportedly entered the mailroom and while inside, he reached through a mail slot and stole two Apple iPad Pros.
On Jan. 29, he returned to the mailroom and pried open mailboxes belonging to residents and stole mail. On Jan. 30, he allegedly returned for the third time and again, allegedly broke open mailboxes, stealing the mail inside.
On Jan. 31, investigators and officers set up at the mailboxes to catch Rogers. At about 7:45 p.m., Rogers entered the mailroom again.
Officers approached Rogers while he was walking out with mail in his hands that did not belong to him.
He was arrested without incident and charged with commercial burglary, possession of burglary tools and felony malicious mischief.
He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $25,000 bond.
