The Ole Miss basketball team was projected as the No. 9 seed in the CBS Sports NCAA Tournament bracket by Jerry Palm on Monday. Palm was the first to bring RPI out in the open and is one of the pioneers of predicting the March Madness bracket.
Ole Miss (16-7, 6-4 SEC) won back-to-back games over Texas A&M and Georgia last week snapping a four-game losing skid for head coach Kermit Davis’ squad.
Teams qualifying for the NCAA Tournament will tip off March 19. According to Palm’s field of 68, Ole Miss would be matched against the Washington Huskies in the Midwest region in Columbus. The winner would face Virginia.
Ole Miss gets back in action on Wednesday as they travel to the Plains to take on the Auburn Tigers.
