The following reports were made Feb. 20, 2019, by city, university and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise noted.
Oxford Police Department (Feb. 19 & 20) issued 46 tickets, investigated 14wrecks and the following reports:

1 false pretense
1 fire department assist
1 harassment
1 improper parking
1 joyriding
1 K9 search
3 motorist assists
1 property damage

3 suspicious activities
2 suspicious people
2 suspicious vehicles
1 utility call out
5 welfare checks
Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI and no headlights
1 DUI and no insurance
1 DUI, no insurance and driving while license suspended
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug
1 suspended driver’s license, no insurance and careless driving
1 warrant served
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests and investigated the following reports:
1 alarm
1 disturbance
1 grand larceny
1 service call
1 suspicious activity
1 transport
4 informational reports
1 follow-up
1 unauthorized use of a vehicle
1 road obstruction
1 natural cause of death
University Police Department investigated the following reports:
1 suspicious person
1 harassment
Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Friday.
2:47 a.m. – The Connection – alarm malfunction
2:56 a.m. – Kappa Alpha Theta house – lightning struck close by and tripped a breaker activating the fire alarm system
4:19 a.m. – Anderson Road – a tree fell on a car (no injuries)
9:33 a.m. – The Arbor Apts. – an air compressor to the water flow system failed to activate the sprinkler system
6:50 – Highway 334 at CR 240 – wreck with injuries – EMS already on scene
