The following reports were made March 1-3, 2019, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.

Oxford Police Department issued 126 tickets, investigated 16 wrecks and the following reports:
1 911 hang-up
15 alarms
2 ambulance assists
5 animal complaints
3 careless driving complaints
9 disturbing the peace complaints
5 domestic disturbances
1 embezzlement
2 fire department assists
2 improper parking complaints
1 larceny
1 lost property
1 malicious mischief
4 motorist assists
1 shoplifting
9 suspicious activities
3 suspicious people
1 suspicious vehicle
2 vehicle searches
4 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrest:
1 DUI
1 DUI, careless driving and no tag
1 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI, improper turn and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 DUI, no headlights, expired tag and possession of drug paraphernalia
3 minors in possession of alcohol
1 out-of-jurisdiction warrant
4 possessions of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, disregard for traffic device and no insurance
7 public drunks
1 shoplifting
1 suspended driver’s license
1 suspended driver’s license, seat belt violation, no insurance and warrant served
1 suspended driver’s license, no liability insurance and speeding

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
2 agency assists
8 alarms
2 animal complaints
1 residential burglary (CR 225)
3 civil matters
7 disturbances
2 domestic violence complaints
1 harassment
1 information
1 juvenile complaint
1 noise complaint
1 petty theft
1 reckless driving
12 service calls
1 transport
2 welfare concerns

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 domestic violence
1 simple assault

University Police Department investigated the following reports:
4 suspicious vehicles
3 wreck
1 ambulance needed
3 suspicious persons
1 vandalism
1 loud music complaint
1 disorderly conduct

Officers made the following arrests:
1 public drunk
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and possession of beer by person under 21

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
3/1 – 12:33 p.m. – Mary Buie Museum – cooking activated a smoke detector
3/1 – 4:16 p.m. – South Oxford Center – a passerby saw smoke coming from the building – it was exhaust from the generator – no fire
3/1 – 8:32 p.m. – The Inn at Ole Miss – smell of gas – nothing found
3/2 – 12:15 a.m. – Turnberry Condos Bldg. N – people stuck on the elevator
3/2 – 7:50 a.m. – 100 Glen Eagle Road – helped EMS lift a patient
3/2 – 10:53 a.m. – Kangaroo, University Ave. – small gas spill – cleaned up with oil dry
3/2 – 4:28 p.m. – Kay Jewelers – fire alarm panel malfunction
3/2 – 6:55 p.m. – Molly Barr Ridge, 1300 A Varner Loop – a very hot pot of grease caused the sprinkler system to activate
3/3 – 9:00 a.m. – 100 Jamie Cove – heat unit blower motor belt smoking
3/4 – 1:35 a.m. – The Uncommon – water flow alarm malfunction
3/4 – 3:01 a.m. – The Chancellor House Hotel – heat unit smoking – no fire
