Former Ole Miss Rebel D.K. Metcalf had a strong performance at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Saturday.

Metcalf was impressive on the bench press with 27 reps at 225 lbs. The Oxford, Mississippi native followed that up with the second fastest 40-yard dash at 4.33 seconds only behind Ohio State’s Parris Campbell with 4.31 seconds.

Metcalf’s vertical jump was 40’5.

Last season as a redshirt sophomore Metcalf started in the first seven games prior to injuring his neck against the Arkansas Razorbacks. He hauled in 26 catches for 569 yards and five touchdowns for the Rebels.

Over his career at Ole Miss, he has had to battle through injuries. In his freshman campaign, he was sidelined after two games due to a broken foot against Wofford. During his three seasons he played in 21 games where he caught 67 passes for 1,228 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Ole Miss will hold its pro day March 29.
