Lafayette Metro Narcotics Busts 2 Men With 3 Pounds of Pot

The Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit arrested two local men last week and seized more than 3 pounds of marijuana.

According to reports, on March 1, officers with the Metro Narcotics Unit and the Oxford Police Department executed a search warrant at on LaRhonda Drive in Oxford, which is located across the road from Lafayette High School.

Officers seized approximately 3 pounds of marijuana, 75 THC (oil) cartridges, five guns, scales and $1,300 from the residence.

Elliot Faler, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of THC with intent to distribute. Another man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute but that charge was later dismissed.

Faler was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was initially given a $25,000 bond. However, officers also served grand jury indictment warrants on both men for unrelated possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell charges from arrests in 2018 and both were given an additional $5,000 bond.
