
Ole Miss senior outfielder Kylan Becker was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday by the league office.
Becker had an explosive week at the dish carrying a .647 batting average with a double, a triple, a home run, seven runs scored and seven more driven in. She also drew a pair of walks and stole five bases, finishing with an OBP of .684 and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
The Miami native got the week started with a bang, torching Central Arkansas in Ole Miss’ 18-3 victory. Becker finished the game 4-for-5 at the dish, scoring and driving home four runs each.
Becker stayed hot in Ole Miss’ home opener at the Ole Miss Classic against Nicholls, registering a pair of hits and posting three more RBIs. By the time the week was over, the senior tallied multiple hits in four of five games, extending her team-high reached base streak to 18 games.
